Some pieces are designed from the beginning. Others are found — and you know almost immediately that they need to come home with you.
We found The Indigo Relic while sourcing in Udaipur. What caught our eye first was the colour: that deep indigo thread running through broad, aged silver-toned plates. Up close, the piece becomes even more interesting. Each plate carries its own hammered marks, engraved textures and tiny figurative details, so the necklace never feels perfectly uniform — and it isn't supposed to.
The metalwork gradually moves from the broad centre plate into smaller sculpted forms along either side, all held together by the indigo cord that becomes part of the design rather than simply a way of fastening it. The contrast between the dark blue thread and weathered oxidised finish gives the necklace the feeling of something collected over time; a little raw, a little imperfect, and full of character.
It sits broad across the neckline, but because the plates are individually connected, it follows the body rather than behaving like one rigid piece.
The Indigo Relic is for the days when the jewellery isn't there to finish the outfit. It is the reason you kept the rest of the outfit simple.
